About Us

Dr. Rickards

Dr. Christopher Rickards has been practicing dentistry in Prince George since 1983. In addition to general dentistry he has a particular interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and Temporomandibular Joint Management (TMJ).

Dr. Rickards is a member of the Canadian Academy for Esthetic Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is committed to life-long learning and continues to participate in continuing education opportunities on an annual basis.

Dr. Rickards holds DDS degree from McGill University as well as certificates in Implant placement and Closed Sinus Lift, Cosmetic & Reconstructive Perio Surgery, Laser Dentistry, Center For Advanced Dental Study in TMJ Diagnostics and Management, Advanced Techniques in Aesthetic Dentistry & Occlusion.

He is also a member of the, Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry.

Our Team

Linda Reitberger

Linda has been a part of our team since 2001 and her favorite part of dentistry is the opportunity for lifelong learning. Dentistry is always changing and Continuing Education courses allow Linda to build on her Dental Assisting Certificate that she earned from the College of New Caledonia.

Dusty Orcutt

Dusty loves educating people about how to have a healthy smile. She takes great satisfaction when patients exhibit a confidence boost after cosmetic surgery or major dental work. Dusty enjoys working with patients to reduce dental anxiety and makes sure the patient understands what to expect when undergoing a procedure. Dusty graduated from the College of New Caledonia in June 2011.

Jennifer Murray

Upon entering Concept Dental Centre, you will be welcomed by Jennifer and her friendly smile. She is caring and dedicated to helping you feel as comfortable as possible during your visit here.

Rebecca Conn

I graduated from CNC in 2002 and I truly love what I do! I especially enjoy when my patients have a great experience. I love keeping up to date with continuing education courses.

Susan MacMillan

Creating a beautiful smile and seeing a patient's confidence grow is what makes dentistry so special for Susan. A part of our team since 1993 Susan has studied Chair Side Dental Assisting, Reception and more recently Radiography and Practice Management.

Pamela Ramnes

Pam has been with Concept Dental since 1994 and loves being a part of creating beautiful healthy smiles for our patients. She holds the "Dean's Leadership Award" in Dental Hygiene; the "Clinical Achievement Award in Dental Assisting", as well as Prosothodontic and Dental Hygiene Diploma with honours, all from the College of New Caledonia.

Sarah MacDonald

I graduated from the CNC Dental program in 2005 with Deans List award for academic achievement. I also have completed my advanced training for Botox at Pacific Institute. I think the my favourite part is being able to wear many hats at Concept Dental. When I’m not in the office I enjoy being with my family, baking, camping and going on road trips.

Diane Horita

Since I was young, I have always wanted to be a part of the dental field. I started my career as a certified dental assistant graduating in 2005 and absolutely loved it. Wanting to take on a more preventative role in dentistry, I went back to school and started work as a clinical hygienist in 2011. My passion is helping those who may not access dental care easily and I indulge this by working in a long term care home, as well as volunteering when I can. I recently spent time in Nepal providing care for impoverished children and hope to do more trips like this in the future.

Debbie Gill

Debbie graduated from the CNC Dental Hygiene program with Honours in 2007 and received the award for Highest Overall Achievement. Debbie tries to provides gentle and thorough dental hygiene care in a friendly and comfortable environment. She stays current with dental hygiene care by attending regular continuing education courses. She enjoys working at Concept Dental because it is up-to-date in the latest equipment and technology.

Our team encourages our patients to value their oral and general health through information and example and we hope that through these simple concepts we are able to develop healthy lifestyles and lasting relationships.

Continuing Education

Dr. Rickards believes in continuing education and life-long learning for himself and his Concept Dental team. Dr. Rickard has taken extensive courses concerning the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) and has studied under Dr. Peter Dawson at the Dawson Centre for Advanced Dental Study in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr.Rickards studied cosmetic dentistry in New York over twelve years ago. He has continually updated his knowledge and has also been an instructor at the Advanced Aesthetic Continuum. As well, Dr.Rickards sought out the best known dentist in the world for direct composites (white fillings). The dentist, Dr. Neuton Fahl, was practicing in Curitada, Brazil. Dr.Rickards went to see Dr.Falh and spent a week in his office learning directly from him.

To summarize, whenever possible, Dr.Rickards will seek out some of the best clinicians in the world, and learn directly from them.

Team members are encouraged to enhance their skills through continuing education programs available at local colleges and beyond. The entire team attends the Pacific Dental Conference where hundreds of open lectures and hands-on courses are available for the advancement of their skills.
